Online Double Bass Lessons
Learn double bass from wherever you are, with lessons designed around how you learn.

Welcome to Low Listening
My name is Chloe Ann Williamson and I teach online double bass lessons for people of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to experienced players refining their craft.
People come to lessons with different goals. Some want to study seriously, others just want to enjoy playing. Both are valid, and lessons are shaped accordingly. What matters most is working in a way that suits how you learn.
Children and adults approach learning differently, and online private lessons allow the flexibility to meet you where you are – both geographically and musically.

Testimonials
“Chloe is an incredibly enthusiastic, talented and energetic person. Every lesson she continues to inspire me and just blow me away with her sheer talent and amazing personality. She brings her enthusiasm to every single lesson and, no matter how bad you’re playing the piece, she still remains positive and encouraging. Her passion for music and especially double bass just rubs off on you.”

“She is going absolutely gangbusters on double bass and is now thinking about studying music next year, all going to plan. You were there at the beginning and played an important role in her journey, helping give her a love of it. We feel incredibly lucky.”

Online learning works particularly well for double bass.
It removes the barrier of location and transport, and allows for flexible camera angles so you can clearly see both hands in close detail.
In many in-person lessons, you are side by side sharing a music stand, which limits what you can see.
Online, we can focus directly on setup and movement in a way that is often clearer and more effective.
